What happens when you cross 2 of New Zealands favourite things to eat ?
NZ’s favourite spread has teamed up with another of NZ’s favourites Abe’s Bagel Bakery, to create what is can only be described as “More Kiwi Genius”
We were given the opportunity to try the new treats from Abe’s Bagels Bakery recently and I was more than pleasantly surprised at these taste sensations. The first thing you notice when you pop these little gems into your mouth, is that you get a real hit of flavour. If you’re a Marmite fan then you are not going to be disappointed, they pack a punch for such a small mouthful, although if you’re anything like me, you’re going to find it hard to resist popping in a couple of bites at a time.
Now while I do love my sweet foods, I think if I had to have a preference, I like to be able to snack on something that is more savoury than sweet, but I do find that with the likes of chips etc, the flavours have become pretty standard, so it was nice to have something that was a little bit different.
My 3 younger children tried them and it was only my 5 year old that wasn’t a fan, but then he’s not a fan of Marmite either so it wasn’t really surprising for me that he declined to have a packet of his own. Both my girls (age 9) loved them and I’m thinking they’re going to be a much healthier treat for their lunchboxes.
So would we recommend these ?
Most definately. If you love Abe’s Bagels (and lets face it, why wouldn’t you), and you love Marmite then you are going to LOVE these little treats.
