This book starts off by sharing a description of Anzac Bear with illustrations that tell the tale of an old bear who has seen many a day, and has witnessed many a tale. Although the words are sad, you can sense the love that is also within the words as they come from a little boy who obviously loves his bear. As you read through the book, the illustrations take on a different look. They tell of a time long since past where our Anzacs (and Ted)  were an important part of our history and like the Anzacs, Ted never gave up. Despite being battered and torn, he is a hero.
I love this book. It speaks of what is important, and not all the bells and whistles that have become a part of our every day life. It speaks of our heroes and how sometimes you need to look beyond what the eye can see.

  1. i was lucky enough to get this book. My two children Love this book when we first got it. i had to read it every night. Which was really cool. it was showing that children are allowed to have something special. this book is nice and bright and vibrant. and The Two Autistic children that i work with also like this book.
I felt cool as i have a teddy bear that was passed down to me when my nana passed away. and reading this book made me think bout her. Which is a good thing though.
I would recommend this book to all my friends that have young children. To show children that they can care bout something that is really old. and doesnt look good. its like the saying YOu cant judge a book by its cover.

THANKS AGAIN family in focus for giving me and my children the chance to read this book
