Cheese Muffins


  • 2 Cups of Grated Cheese
  • 1 ½ Cups of Self Raising Flour
  • ½ Teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Tablespoon Sugar
  • Pinch Pepper
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Cup of Milk
  • Add any extras like bacon, onion(precooked)


  1. Measure Grated Cheese, Flour, Salt, Sugar and Pepper into a large bowl
  2. Mix lightly with the fingertips to combine
  3. In a small container, beat the egg and milk until evenly combined
  4. Pour all of the liquid into the dry ingredients, then fold the 2 mixtures together – do NOT overmix
  5. Spoon mixture into greased deep muffin pans (I use small loaf pans)
  6. Bake at 210 Celsius for approx 12 minutes
  7. Cool before removing.
