Hundreds of thousands of parents around the world have spent time in their kitchen, providing meals and treats for their families.
Whether you’re opening a tin of spaghetti, or creating a masterpiece from scratch, you are still enabling your family to walk away from the meal feeling satisfied, and making sure their needs are met.
I have to admit that my ‘ideal’ is to be creating meals from scratch, but I’m also the first to admit that due to commitments, and time just running away on me, we have had dinners constisting of Cheese on Toast, Spaghetti (or Baked Beans) and various other short options just so we can be eating at a reasonable hour. This does not make me (or other people) bad parents.
At the Family in Focus Kitchen, we want to enable you to find easy meals that you can do from scratch, but also meals semi prepared using products that are healthy and easy but still tasty as heck. As I’ve put weight on, I have become more aware of the nutritional value of foods, but there are some foods that I just will not give up.
Most of the recipes we will put up are ones that we have made ourselves and believe me when I say that I am no expert cook, so things have to be easy to create. Even if they don’t look like the masterpeices in books, so long as they taste good, it shouldn’t matter.
Looking forward to sharing our recipes with you, and if you have any you’d like to share please feel free to email them through to info@familyinfocus.co.nz
