When we were approached to review these new products from Palmolive, I didn’t know what to expect to be honest.
Ayurveda encourages us to take responsibility for our own health according to the different stages of our lives, the seasons, and the environment we live, work and play in. According to Ayurveda, the five elements of nature – space, air, fire, water and earth – combine in the body as three components, or doshas, known as Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. These three mind-body types express particular patterns of energy and unique blends of physical, emotional, and mental characteristics. Each of us will have a dominant dosha or mind-body type which each has a specific set of lifestyle and nutritional guidelines to help us achieve and maintain a good state of health.*
Now I have to admit that this didn’t mean a lot to me and I’m still looking into it as I do believe that there are a lot of things that influence our ‘being’ as such.
But for now, it was about the Shower Gels
First of all I loved the bottles. To me it had the ideal womanly shape and I’m not sure if that was intentional or not, but to a company like Family in Focus, that’s something we’re going to notice.
Next step was to take time to smell the roses, or in this case the fragrances that are ‘Palmolive Ayurituel’
I had already decided that I would share the Shower Gels with members so that we could each have the opportunity to try these gorgeous products and report back within a smaller time frame, but now the problem came……which one would I keep for myself ?
My favourite fragrance was actually the Joyous but there was something about the tranquilty that really appealed (perhaps it was wishful thinking) so I decided to keep this one.
I loved that you didn’t need to use a lot and it definately went a long way. I did however find that the aroma was a lot more subtle in the shower which was good considering the small shower space we have. There’s nothing worse than having an over-powering scent around you, it can almost become over whelming. But not in this case. The scent simply envelopes you gently and I did feel more relaxed afterwards.
I can’t wait to see what the others think of the products they had to try
Palmolive Ayurituel Energy… , I have been using this for the last 3 days , I love the smell, the sandalwood reminds my of my youth ( loved Kama Sutra body oil) it left my skin feeling fresh and non greasy ,I also found that the scent didn’t clash with any of my other products, such as deodorant and body spray , but rather gave it a nice base .
The bottle was easy to hold and not top heavy like a lot of the body washes you can buy.
The only thing I didn’t like was that when I squeezed it out onto my hand it was quite thick , and would blob off my hand , I solved this by putting it straight on to my loofa , the lid was also a challenge if my hands were slippery …
