My son was highly delighted to receive this in the mail ! and im very thankful wr were picked to review this product! its a neat toy , the packaging was easy to open and there’s no pieces that are easily lost, we do however find that the doors to the spaceship are not very solid and come off very easily , the age recommended is 3+ , my son is 4 and we both had difficulty’s removing/inserting the figurines and securing the seatbelts, he thinks its quite neat that he can place some of his other toy figurines in there, the sound quality is great on this product, loud & clear , i like how it the different options so you can set it to off, mute etc, overall my son is very happy and has been playing with this non stop. thank you

  2. My eldest had been asking for a “Peppa Pig Rocket” for some time after seeing a picture of one in some advertising so being given one to review was a really welcome opportunity.

My boys (3 and nearly 5) love this toy. Me?…. well I’m yet to be convinced. It was very well secured in the packaging (which is kinda nicely decorated on the inside of the box like a diorama and the boys have been playing with that too). I had a bit of trouble getting some of the fiddly tape/stickers securing the loose objects off. I had my first uh-oh moment while unpacking. The doors felt super flimsy and I didn’t rate the chances of it staying intact for long. The plastic moulding on some of the edges is quite rough (almost but not quite sharp – I keep meaning to get some sandpaper onto them).

The next mission was to put batteries in it (while they were sleeping!) to test out the noises – just in case I needed to take the batteries out. I know we have all had *those* toys before. I didn’t notice the instructions (on the bottom of the box) so was really confused for some time about the “mute” function – which despite it’s name ironically doesn’t mute anything. The so called “mute” function is an option which makes the rocket *only* make the blast off noise. The other option is a really annoying long sequence of what the box calls “play instructions” (which don’t contain any kind of instructions) – the blast off noise followed a bunch of space noises and giggles etc that repeats twice. My 4 year old demanded that the noise be “TURNED OFF” within about a minute. It is VERY loud and I really wish the mute function really did reduce the volume like so many other kids toys.

The figurines are hard to remove/put back into the seats – it helped once we worked out to rotate the seat to get at the side of the “seat belt” strap without trying to bend fingers in ways they won’t. Neither of the kids can manage them by themselves and they are now on a high shelf to stop the baby getting them (with the figurines) while he is awake.

So far the rocket has handled being dropped and thrown and hitting siblings who don’t want to share with each other. It has had a few time-outs like any other new/desirable toy. The doors came off in the hands of the 4 year old (by accident the first time) within 30 seconds of the kids being given it. I had to field a lot of requests to “put them back on” and the 3 year old now actively removes them but can’t put them back on himself. I’m fairly sure they aren’t going to last long before they can’t be put back on. Even though it is a 3 years+ toy the 13 month old is fascinated with it and it seems robust enough to let him have under supervision when all the little parts are out and the doors are (as per normal) off.

My 3 year can fit a remarkable number of Duplo blocks inside the rocket and has commented favorably about the “clock” and “school” (black board with lessons on it) on the inside of the rocket.

Google tells me the full retail price is around the $60 mark at the moment. If your kids are very independent and want a toy they can use all the features of by themselves, this probably isn’t going to be suitable until about age 5-6 – by which point they may not be interested in Peppa Pig. If you want to give it to a younger child – lose the seat belts (in a drawer somewhere safe), it will save hours of having to put the things back on every 20 seconds as they can still get them off!

  3. My son loves the pepper pig rocket with sounds and 2 characters pepper pig and danny dog.
The colours are bright and inviting for bous and girls of all ages to play with
The back ground inside the rocket and features like seat belts in the rocket looked awesome
Its a great toy very played with i might add!
    The product was well packaged.
The rocket was a bit loud when i added batteries
But my son loves all the different noises and sounds
    All in all
    A 10 out of 10 for everything
A very well loved toy between my son and nephews
